Our new Sony HQ1 DSP License Plate Recognition Camera was designed to do specifically just that! Features an 8-Step Manual Shutter which will capture a perfect color image of car license plates. The Manual Shutter enables the camera to capture license plates of both stationary and moving vehicles with crystal clear 540 lines of high resolution.
We use this camera at gates, toll booths, gas stations, fast food chains, virtually anywhere a clear image of a license plate is needed, especially when the car is moving or passing by. Comes with a 3.5-8mm adjustable varifocal auto-iris lens, bracket, and power supply. If using outdoor, please select the Weatherproof Housing option.
If the camera is stationed fairly close to the automobile, use the 3.5-8mm Adjustable Lens (included). If you are trying to catch a license plate 25 feet away or futher, we recommend one of the optional lenses (5-50mm or 5-100mm).
Bottom Line is if you are trying to capture a clear license plate on a moving vehicle, either close or from far away, this specialized camera will get the high resolution, clear video that will exceed your expectations. A bracket, power supply and 3.5-8mm vari-focal lens is included.
